| MOROCCO PROPERTY – INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES | Morocco’s Vision 2010 plan was set up by the Government in an effort to secure ten million visitors by next year. £2.2 billion has been spent to improve services to facilitate the scheme.
The Moroccan tourist board has launched a new website Moroccothereapy.com to encourage people to consider Morocco as a holiday destination if they have not done so in the past. It is hoped that the site will also encourage Morocco property investment.
Investing in a Morocco property is ideal during the economic downturn as this is an area who’s only way is up and with the huge Government investment you will need to act now to get a good deal. The current market standard is around £90,000 for a one-bedroom house and up to £140,000 for a four-bedroom property.
Another boost to the Morocco property holiday lettings market was its naming as Africa’s top tourist destination 2009 in the African Business Awards.
Head of the Moroccan tourist board in the UK Ali El Kasmi said: "We are delighted to have won such an accolade. Morocco offers a quality product and a cultural destination full of energy, mysticism and spice."
Combine all this with recent figures from the United Nations World Tourism Barometer that showed that Africa was the only continent in the world to see a rise in visitor numbers in 2009, it is clear to see why a Morocco property makes a great investment opportunity.
