The Telegraph published an interesting article this week which looks into European properties which are located close to a border therefore giving buyers the chance to experience two different ways of life, of the “best of both worlds” as they put it. The article includes some properties in Biarritz and the French Riviera for example, it also includes comments from Home Hunts such as:

“The eastern Riviera around Monaco is a little less developed and, Cap Martin aside, your money goes a bit further,” says Tim Swannie of agency Home Hunts. “In the hills above Roquebrune you can get a three- to four-bedroom villa that needs renovating for around €1.5 to €2 million that would be €2.5 million in Villefranche, the other side of Monaco. The historic villages of La Turbie and Èze are also popular.”
