| MONACO PROPERTY – HIGHEST REAL ESTATE PRICES |
According to the Russian consulting agency ‘MAR Consult’, Monaco property has the highest real estate prices of all European resorts.
The current cost per square metre for a Monaco property is 84,500 Euros. The most expensive apartments are located in Monte Carlo’s luxury Seaside Plaza.
The second highest real estate can be found in France with one square metre costing 38,300 Euros with Spain coming in third at a cost of 13,000 Euros per square metre.
The most affordable European resorts are Estonia, Albania and Romania with real estate prices not exceeding 2,500 Euros per square metre.
The cheapest European property is located in the Romanian resort of Mamae.
In most countries represented by the MAR Consult rating, prices fell in 2009, with the largest drop in prices of real estate in Montenegro by nine percent.
Prices in Monaco, Portugal, Belgium and Sweden remained unchanged since 2008, meaning a Monaco property, although the most expensive in Europe, remains a sound investment.
