For a Monaco property the biggest time of the year for rental has got to be the Monaco Grand Prix when it is possible to make back your entire years mortgage if you have a prime location and you market correctly.
The Monaco Grand Prix will be held on 13th through to 15th May this year. And as an added bonus, it doesn’t clash too much with the 63rd Cannes Film Festival as has happened in recent years so you can consider marketing your Monaco property as a rental property during the festival as well.
During the Monaco Grand Prix, hoards of the uber rich and famous descend on Monaco bringing with them their vast items of status such as high performance cars and super yachts. If your Monaco property is in prime location with secure parking and moorings you will be able to market it for a premium.
The Cannes Film Festival takes place between 12th and 23rd May. During the Cannes Film festival 200,000 people descend on the otherwise quiet seaside resort and all those people will be looking for accommodation. You could consider offering your Monaco property at a lower rate due to the proximity to the event. However, there is no need to reduce the price too much as you are offering an exclusive, celebrity-favoured town.
When considering marketing your Monaco property look at blogs of well-known Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Film Festival commentators. If you put some work in getting to know them and making related comments to their posts they may offer you some free publicity in return.
Consider other festivals and events throughout the year and look who is organising them, perhaps they can offer you some advertising on their website for your Monaco property.
