Since Louboutin was 12 he has collected hoes and clothes among other things. His father was a master of wooden cabinets, where Louboutin learned about texture and design.
Louboutin is a collector of textiles and rich fabrics from all over the world which he uses as inspiration for his shoes and he also uses for his curtains in his home.
He has a collection of books, hats and even retro suitcases. One thing connects all his collections to his shoes and that is colour. Louboutin’s favourite colour palette is red and ochre. He also likes mixing green and violet as he says it reminds him of nature.
