The Samoëns ski resort, which is located in the Giffre valley, is considered to be the best in France. Samoëns is charming, low-lying and picturesque. With 165 miles of pistes, this popular ski domain requires a gondola to access it. Much of the architecture in Samoëns is made from stone, which dates back to the 17th century, when a community of renowned stone cutters were tasked with building many of the area’s structures.
