But then, quite by chance, I expressed an interest in a property advertised by Home Hunts, and you came to our rescue! You sent us around 20 properties, all at or very near our list of criteria, and we came to France a week later and saw just 5 properties – one of which ticked every box on our list (plus a few we had never dreamed of getting). CLIENT REVIEW: “My husband and I live in England and we contacted Home Hunts in May this year to discuss purchasing a home in the Nice area. I emailed with quite specific requirements regarding an apartment. In mid-July, we flew to Nice to view a selection of properties our consultant Anne-Marie had put together for our viewings. The first apartment we viewed, we fell in love with! Anne-Marie had worked with my criteria and had shown us the perfect apartment! We proceeded to put an offer in on the apartment which the vendors accepted.
During the conveyancing process and after completion, Anne-Marie was invaluable. She not only took our brief on the sort of apartment we were looking for and delivered, which some may say is the job of an estate agent, but continued with her assistance. She recommended a lawyer, tax advisor, insurance company (for buildings and contents insurance of the apartment), electricity supplier and internet provider. After completion, Anne-Marie came to our apartment to help set up the internet. She liaised with both the gardien and syndic, at the property, on our behalf. Anne-Marie also contacted the council offices for us, to arrange the collection of furniture, left by the vendors. All things that would be so simple in England, being our home country, but a bit of a mystery for us in France.
Anne-Marie really did ‘go above and beyond the call of duty’ for us and I wanted to email you to convey, quite honestly, our huge thanks to her and you as a company as I’m not sure we would have been successful in the purchase if it hadn’t been for her continued professionalism, advice, expert knowledge and great kindness.”

We’d read a long list of living-in-France books starting with Peter Mayles’s A Year In Provence, passing through Carol Drinkwater’s Olive Farm series and entering into perhaps 2 dozen other romantic and humorous tales of la vie Francais. While we clearly were smitten with the prospects, we were stuck on the obstacles. How could we navigate the complexities of of a home purchase and attendant beauracratic hurdles, let alone fix a leaky faucet, from 6000 miles away when we really didn’t speak the language? Then, we found our answer: Chris Moore. Chris not only found us our provencal mas with 150 olive trees (after just a couple viewings, he intuitively discerned our preferences, and presented several perfect matches), he guided us through the process. Chris was always accessible with calm and experienced advice, providing easy to understand explanations, translation of dense documents and patient hand holding in opening bank accounts, securing insurance, transferring utilities, hiring a caretaker, etc. We would not be living our French dream without Chris removing the obstacles, and we are forever grateful for his friendly expertise and guidance.”
