HOMEHUNTS – THE RIGHT TIME TO BUY

Luxury property has always been big business but no more so than in France and now is the time to buy. The market has levelled out and there are some bargains to be had meaning your dream of owning a luxury French property is well within your grasp. France is such a diverse place in geography, culture, climate etc that you are bound to find something that suits.

Dordogne property has always been extremely popular with overseas buyers particularly the British but many nationalities have a keen interest in property for sale in the Dordogne due to the breathtaking scenery and relaxed way of  life in South West France.

If a Mediterranean climate is what you’re searching for then a Languedoc property could be for you as the area boasts  more than 300 days of sunshine.

If retirement is on the agenda or a more relaxed pace of life then a Provence property would be right up your street.  With a laid back atmosphere, friendly locals and the national sport of Pétanque being one of the most popular past times in Provence it is the perfect place to unwind.

On the other extreme is St Tropez with its luxury villas and beautiful people.  If celeb spotting and high-end luxury is what you’re after then St Tropez is worth a visit. St. Tropez property is extremely sought after and during the summer this quiet little fishing village is transformed into one of the worlds most glamourous destinations (along side some of its equally beautiful neighbours such as Cannes, Antibes and Nice). French Riviera property is always popular with international buyers and as well as luxury property for sale in St. Tropez, you also have a great selection of luxury properties on the French Riviera for sale to suit everyones taste and budget.

There is so much property for sale in the South of France it is just up to you to choose the region that is right for you.

If the city life is more your thing then what about the capital Paris.  With 20 arrondissements, each with its own character and charm, there is something for everyone.  Paris property can be incredibly expensive in areas such as around the Louvre or St. Germain, however, in some of the more residential areas there are opportunities to purchase a little bit of classic Parisian architecture at a much more affordable rate.

The principality of Monaco is a great tax haven as Income tax and Capital Gains tax are not applied to residents of Monaco.  Monaco property is the most expensive real estate in the world but it may be possible to make your yearly mortgage payments back in one sweep if you rent your property out during the grand prix as visitors pay a premium for accommodation during that famous weekend.

Looking outside France, Morocco has invested £2.2 billion in improving services and encouraging visitors.  Investing in a Morocco property is ideal during the economic downturn as this is an area on its way up but with the huge Government investment you will need to act now to get a good deal.
